Porgera Joint Venture / Barrick (Niugini) Limited is looking to recruit an experienced Supply Specialist – Training.

Barrick (Niugini) Limited (“BNL”) is a company incorporated in Papua New Guinea, and operates the Porgera Gold Mine in Enga Province on behalf of the Porgera Joint Venture partners. BNL is an independently managed company and is jointly owned through an equal partnership between Barrick Gold Corporation and Zijin Mining Group-which own 95% participating interest in the Porgera Joint Venture. The remaining 5% is owned by Mineral Resource Enga (MRE) Limited – a consortium consisting of the Enga Provincial Government and the Porgera landowners.

Reporting to the Superintendent – Warehouse, the incumbent will manage, execute and report on the Training needs for all PJV Supply Department employees.

The ideal candidate must have

• Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
• Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
• Adequate knowledge of learning management systems, implementation and delivery tools
• MS Office proficiency
• Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
• Highly organized, proficient in time management
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Previous experience in Training across different audiences
• Strong Communication skills

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Management to identify Supply Department training needs
• Prepare hard copy training materials and presentations
• Schedule appropriate training sessions
• Oversee and direct training sessions, both classroom and practical field experience as required
• Manage ETAMS training modules , Competencies and Assessments
• Develop knowledge and skills of Supply Department Employees, translate requirements into trainings that will groom employees to next level of career path
• Manage Training records and provide training reports
• Manage and maintain in house training facilities and equipment
