Kumul Consolidated Holdings is inviting exceptional candidates to apply for the vital role of Transaction Manager.

Kumul Consolidated Holdings (KCH) is a state-owned Statutory Corporation with a clearly defined mandate to build shareholder wealth and to improve the provision of services to the people of Papua New Guinea. KCH is the Trustee Shareholder for eleven Majority State Owned Enterprises (SOE) operating in the sectors of aviation, banking & financial services, insurance, maritime infrastructure, power, post & logistics, telecommunications, water & sanitation, and agriculture.

KCH will deliver the SOE Reform Program approved by the National Executive Council in October 2019. This is a significant project involving various government agencies and development partners and will span at least three years.

To drive and deliver SOE Reform Program, KCH is inviting exceptional candidates to apply for the vital role of: Transaction Manager.

This position is based in Port Moresby and the appointee will be required to travel within Papua New Guinea and internationally.

Key accountabilities

• Provide leadership and guide the SOE Reform Team to achieve the KCH’s Reform workplan and deliverables
• Provide advisory support to the Managing Director and the Board on the Reform Team’s progress on all programs, activities, investments and reporting on future initiatives
• Lead and direct appointed specialist advisors and subject matter experts to undertake due diligence and Be able to demonstrate a strong ability to communicate and develop effective working relationships with partners within the PNG government, public enterprises, the private sector and civil society stakeholders

Job requirements

• Post-graduate tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, economics and or management
• Minimum of 5-10 years executive management experience in banking, consulting, corporate finance or transaction advisory roles
• Demonstrated transaction advisory, project management, strategic planning and change management experience that delivered reform, restructure and change management outcomes
