PNG Air Services Ltd has an opening for a talented Web Designer.

PNG Air Services Limited (PNGASL) is an Independent Commercial Entity established under the Papua New Guinea’s Companies Act of 1997. Under the Civil Aviation Rules Part 171, 172 & 175, PNG Air Services Ltd is responsible for providing and maintaining safe air navigation, communication, surveillance and air traffic control services to both domestic and international airline operators flying within and over the PNG airspace. The Company is committed to pursuing global standards of excellence in aviation safety and service delivery to its customers.
 
We invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Wed Designer within the organisation.
 
Reporting to Manager ICT, the incumbent will handle the technical, structural and cosmetic facets of the PNGASL website, considering functionality, appearance, content, and performance

Key accountabilities

• Oversee publishing content, maintaining continuity of themes, designing layout, streamlining navigation and increasing online presence to stakeholders and the wider community at large
• Designing and delivering the web infrastructure/hosting services that meet security requirements
• Exploring and developing new capabilities with various departments

Qualification & experience

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering and/or possession of acceptable qualifications with equivalent relevant experience
• A minimum of 2 years work experience as a Web Designer or similar role
• Knowledge of Web Development methodologies and ability to apply these in a logical manner
• Substantial experience in an ICT services, development, or ISP roles
• Experience working in a software development team with responsibility for designing and developing Websites, Desktop Applications, Web Applications, etc
