Papua New Guinea Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2015: four new knights

Welcome,

Four new Knighthoods are among a total of 95 Papua New Guineans recognised by the Queen in Papua New Guinea’s 2015 Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

They are: National Court Judge, Justice Warwick Andrew, businessman Kostas George Constantinou, Electoral Commissioner Andrew Sean Trawen, and Enga Governor Peter Ipatas.

Prominent businesspeople recognised include Lamana Development’s Managing Director, Kostas Constantinou, Bank of PNG Governor Loi Bakani, former CEO of Ok Tedi Mining, Nigel Parker, and New Britain Palm Oil’s CEO, Nick Thompson. (The Australian government also recognised Graham Pople, former kiap, MP and entrepreneur, with an MBE for his services to the PNG community.)

In fact, few of my friends and family members congratulated me by surprise, but I have not actually got formal notification nor attended any presentation of medal etc. etc. You must be in a better position to brief me what had happened or what need to be done.
