Professor Albert Mellam has been appointed Executive Director of PNG Chamber of Mines and Petroleum, replacing outgoing Greg Anderson. Mellam is the former University of Papua New Guinea vice chancellor and has also served on the boards of Nambawan Super, Credit Corporation, Brian Bell, and the Investment Promotion Authority.

Finland’s new Ambassador to PNG, Lars Bakstrom, has presented his credentials to Governor-General Bob Dadae.

Xavier Victor has been appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer of Telikom PNG, replacing Michael Donnelly. He was previously Head of Marketing and Business Development.
