Cabinet re-appoints CEO of NICTA, a new CEO for ANZ Bank, and Finance Dept Secretary confirmed
The National Executive Council has re-appointed Charles Punaha to serve as Chief Executive Officer of the National Information and Communication Technology Authority (NICTA) for another five years. It has also appointed Dr Bob Horton and John Cholai to the NICTA board.

New Zealander, Shayne Elliott will be the next Chief Executive Officer of the ANZ Bank, and join the Board on January 1, 2016. He succeeds Mike Smith, who retires in December after eight years.

Acting Finance Secretary Ken Ngangan has been confirmed in the position, becoming the first departmental head to sign his contract under the new performance-based contracts agreements system.
