People moves: statutory bodies, special envoy, Simbu Limestone Project

The National Executive Council appoints heads of statutory bodies, Prime Minister James Marape names an Special Envoy on Papua New Guinea Foreign Matters, and the Simbu Limestone Project welcomes a Managing Director.

The National Executive Council has welcomed seven senior officials, most of whom have been re-appointed to their positions, for a period of four years. They signed their contracts last week before Bob Dadae, Governor-General of Papua New Guinea. They are:

Dean Kuri, Chief Executive Officer of Accident Investigation Commission

Steven Maken, Managing Director at Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation

Clarence Hoot, Managing Director of Investment Promotion Authority

Gunther Joku, Managing Director at Conservation and Environment Protection Authority

Peter Tsiamalili, Executive Director of PNG Sports Foundation

Nick Mawe Dala, Director of National AIDS Council Secretariat

William Hosea, Provincial Administrator of West New Britain Province

Rimbink Pato has been appointed as Special Envoy on PNG’s Foreign Matters for the PNG Government.

Geologist Kohn Digan has been named Managing Director for the Simbu Limestone Project in Chauve, Chimbu. Digan has previously worked in the field of mineral exploration and mining in PNG, Australia, Africa and Russia, among other countries.
