Chief Executive Officer
Fisheries Capital Limited (FCL) is a duly registered company wholly owned by the National Fisheries Authority (NFA) is now seeking to fill the immediate vacancy of a Chief Executive Officer position based in Port Moresby. FCL serves as the strategic investment vehicle through which key government policies in the fisheries sector are implemented.
Responsibilities
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a member of the FCL Board and is responsible for providing strategic leadership to ensure the Company’s operational, financial, commercial and regulatory success and represents FCL at the highest national, regional, and international levels, and ensures that robust management systems are in place to support the efficient, transparent, and accountable operations of the Company.
Requirements:
- First degree in Business Administration, Fisheries Economics, Management, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications at the master’s level are desirable, but not essential where strong technical capability and demonstrated organizational management experience can be clearly evidenced.
- Minimum 10 – 15 years of experience in corporate leadership, with substantial experience in the fisheries sector, including at least 5 years in senior management roles within public or private sector organizations.
- Experience in providing strategic policy and technical advice to industry stakeholders.
