Job Description
The Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) invites applications from highly qualified and experienced candidates for the vacant Commissioner General position from both the public and private sectors. IRC is a statutory authority of the Papua New Guinea (PNG) National Government, mandated under the Internal Revenue Commission Act 2014 to collect taxes administered and enforced by the Commission.
Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Commissioner General is to provide Planning, Leadership and Strategic direction to the Commission to achieve its corporate goals stated in its Corporate Plan in line with the Governments’ goals and initiatives.
Requirements:
· Appropriate University degree qualifications preferably in Economics, Accountancy, Law or business; MBA preferred
· Knowledge of our industry experience in commerce, law, public administration or taxation administration.
· Over 10 years’ executive management experience in a large public or private sector organization, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role equivalent to Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner General, Deputy Managing Director, or similar.
