Chief Executive Officer

Location: New Ireland

New Ireland Provincial Health Authority is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Executive Officer. The New Ireland Provincial Health Authority (NIPHA) was established under the Provincial Health Authorities Act 2007 to streamline health services at the provincial level.

Responsibilities:

The Chief Executive Officer leads the New Ireland Provincial Health Authority and is accountable to the Board of Governance for effective provincial health service delivery. The role implements NIPHA’s strategic priorities, policies, and plans, oversees health services, resources, budgets, and workforce performance, and ensures timely reporting and compliance with public service and health sector requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years’ executive management and leadership experience in public service, preferably in the health sector or similar organisations.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a master’s or postgraduate qualification in Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Public Policy Management.
  • Knowledge of PNG health policies, reform initiatives, decentralised service delivery, MTDP, and financial management and budget acquittal systems.
