Our client seeks a Chief Operating Officer to be based in their Port Moresby head office.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO you will:

• Lead, direct & manage the enablement & support services to deliver a consistent & top quality service to all stakeholders in line with the company’s vision to become the leading e–Bank in PNG
• Manage departments across Legal, Risk & Compliance, Human Resources, ICT, & Project Management
• Develop appropriate strategies in all areas of responsibility to effectively deliver on the overall company goals & aspirations
• Work very closely with system administrators & other stakeholders in delivering efficient & effective support services & creating an enabling environment
• Create robust systems, policies & processes while applying innovative thinking & technology to transform customer/member experience & support services bench-marked to global best practices
• Oversee timely & accurate reporting as required
• Develop & execute strategies that promote the company’s competitive edge in a fast growing & dynamic financial services industry
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring & training of the respective Departments to address skill gaps, enhance capabilities as part of talent management & succession planning

Qualification, knowledge, skills & experience

• Degree in Business related discipline. Masters qualification will be considered favourably
• 15 years’ experience in a multi-faceted role overseeing different departments
• Demonstrable experience in Strategy formulation & implementation
• Demonstrable experience in leading staff & teams to success
• Experience in ICT oversight will be considered favourably
• Demonstrated integrity & compliance within a highly regulated environment
• Effective communicator at all levels & making sound economic decisions
