Job Description

The Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) invites applications from highly qualified and experienced candidates for the vacant Commissioner Tax Advising & Services Wing position from both the public and private sectors. IRC is a statutory authority of the Papua New Guinea (PNG) National Government, mandated under the Internal Revenue Commission Act 2014 to collect taxes administered and enforced by the Commission.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Commissioner General, provide strategic direction and management to the Tax Advising Wing and as a member of the Commission (Board) / Executive Management assist the Commissioner General with the overall governance and management of the Commission.

Requirements:

· 10+ years’ executive management experience in a large public or private sector organization, including taxation advisory and people management.

· Relevant degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, or Business Management; a master’s in business or administration is highly desirable.

· Advance Diploma of Governance (Leadership and Governance) from the Somare Institute of Leadership and Governance (SILAG) will be considered an advantage.
