Finance Manager


Nimamar Capital Limited (NCL) is a 100% nationally owned, subsidiary (investment) company of the Nimamar Rural Local Level Government of Lihir Island, New Ireland Province.

As part of the company’s growth and capacity building plans, it now seeks to recruit suitably qualified and experienced candidate for this senior executive role.

The role reports to the CEO and will manage the lending service and also advice on appropriate business planning and help in decision making processes to ensure that businesses are financially successful. It is also to provide accounting support to the Operations group, through information analyses (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, budget, etc.) as well as preparation of operational data/analyses for publication to various constituents throughout company (Management, Operations, etc.) who rely on/benefit from the information to make informed business decisions. Primary responsibilities will include assisting Operations team in the Monthly Operations Reviews, identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of operations performance.

Job Requirements

Critical Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Financial Management or Accounting
  • Chartered Accountant or CPA
  • 10 years’ experience in accounting and lending
  • Financial reporting skills
