Kokonas Indastri Koporesen (KIK) is seeking a high-calibre executive for the role of Managing Director (MD).

Kokonas Indastri Koporesen (KIK) is a major statutory organisation responsible for the control, monitoring, promotion, regulation, research, development and extension of the coconut industry of Papua New Guinea. The organization is now calling for high calibre executive to apply for the position of Managing Director (MD).

Key objectives

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the MD will manage and direct the organization toward its primary objectives which are to regulate the industry as envisaged by the provisions of the Kokonas Indastri Koporesen Act 2002, the Kokonas Indastri Regulations 2002, and the Coconut Strategic Plan 2016 – 2025 and as per respective divisional business plans align with Government MTDP II.

Job requirements

Knowledge
To be successful you must possess a Master’s degree in either Agriculture Science or Agriculture Economics or its equivalent from a recognized university with at least ten (10) years related experience at the senior management level.

Skills
The successful applicant to be appointed must have sufficient technical knowledge about either coconut production, processing, trading issues, research, development and extensions.

Experience
He/she must have at least ten (10) years’ experience working in the Management Level and also have experience working in the Coconut Industry. It is required that the incumbent must also have the ability to read, analyse, and interpret complex documents, respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints and produce effective, original and persuasive speeches and presentations…..
