The Australia Transport Sector Support program in PNG is looking for a talented Operations Manager to join its team in Port Moresby.

The Papua New Guinea – Australia Transport Sector Support Program (TSSP) continues the Australian Government’s long-term commitment to the PNG transport infrastructure sector. The shared long-term goal of TSSP is a safer, more reliable transport system in place enabling economic and social development in PNG.

TSSP is seeking an Operations Manager to undertake a full-time, long-term position based in Port Moresby up until April 2022. This position is responsible for assisting the Deputy Team Leader to manage the Operation and Administration functions of the program particularly in relation to security, and the management of the Program office and out posted facilities.

Job requirements

• Demonstrated professional experience in operations management and program logistics, preferably in an international development context
• Experience in performance management, recruitment, mobilization and visa processing
• Demonstrated experience in security, facilities management or IT management, in addition to procurement and supervision of third-party service contracts
• Experience managing and working with a diverse team of technical advisers
