The Innovation PNG Awards have been created to celebrate and encourage innovation in PNG organisations.

Timed to coincide with the 2023 Innovation PNG Conference (taking place at APEC Haus, Port Moresby on 10 November 2023), the awards are open to three types of entrants:

1. Small businesses (less than 10 employees)
2. Larger businesses (10 employees or more) and
3. Government agencies and departments

Entries will be judged by an expert panel led by the futurist, Dr Jane Thomason.

How to enter

To enter your organisation for the 2023 Innovation PNG Awards, simply tell us about your innovation by answering the questions online at:

Your innovation could be an invention, a piece of technology, a new way of doing things in your organisation, a new product or service, or a new business for PNG.

You’ll be asked to tell the judges about your innovation, why it was created, what results you’ve had with it, and what its potential might be. You’ll have the opportunity to upload supporting material too.

Prizes

The three winners – one for each category – will be announced at a special Gala Awards Dinner at APEC Haus on 9 November 2023.

Winners will receive 2 tickets to the Gala Awards dinner, a unique crystal glass winner’s trophy, and have the chance to speak at Innovation PNG 2023 about their innovation.

Entry deadline

You have until 5pm (Port Moresby time) on Friday 27 October 2023 to enter. Entering the awards is free.

About the Innovation PNG conference

Hosted by the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Business Advantage International, Innovation PNG 2023 will take place on 10 November 2023 at APEC Haus, Port Moresby.

It follows the highly successful inaugural event held in 2019.

The only event of its kind in Papua New Guinea, our 2023 conference will provide the opportunity for PNG’s wider business and government community to learn from, be inspired by, and engage with the best innovators from PNG and overseas.
