Invitation to participate in inbound agribusiness delegation, Cairns and Townsville 2-8 April 2024

Tradelinked Cairns-PNG-Pacific (Tradelinked) is partnering with the Exchange Innovation and Information Centre (EiiC) to facilitate an Agribusiness delegation from Papua New Guinea and the Pacific to Cairns from 2–8 April 2024.

The timing of the delegation has been chosen to coincide with the North Queensland Agricultural Field Days being held in Townsville 4–5 April and a Tradelinked business networking event in Townsville on 4 April.

The intent of the delegation is to continue developing mutually beneficial business and cultural relationships between North Queensland, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific as well as introducing delegates to potential business opportunities and connections.

Included in the itinerary will be visits to established ventures in Cairns and Townsville but also access to information and training to assist businesses in their development and professional decision making.

The region known as North Queensland offers a myriad of agribusiness opportunities. It boasts the Cities of Cairns and Townsville comprising a combined population of around 375,000. Many companies in the region are already doing business with Papua New Guinea and to a lesser extent the broader Pacific region. As such, the North Queensland region is a vital partner in Queensland’s engagement with Papua New Guinea and the Pacific.
