Earlier this year PTI invited exporters across the Pacific to participate in the Pacific Islands Export Survey for 2026. This survey became the basis of the Pacific Trade Invest 2026 Report, presenting insights drawn directly from Pacific exporters and providing a unique view of the opportunities and challenges facing the region’s export sector.
With a record 431 respondents from all 16 Forum Island Countries, this marks the highest level of participation since the survey began in 2014, providing one of the most comprehensive snapshots of Pacific exporters currently available. As the only region-wide survey focused specifically on exporters, the report provides a valuable evidence base for businesses and policymakers.
This year’s findings indicate that Pacific Island exporters are becoming more digitally connected, more globally ambitious and increasingly willing to embrace new technologies, even as access to finance and weather impacts continues to present challenges for many businesses.
