New CEO at Air Niugini
Simon Foo has been appointed acting Chief Executive Officer of Air Niugini Limited (ANL) following the departure of Wasantha Kumarasiri. Foo is a current ANL board member and a former senior executive with the airline.
Former Mining Minister joins Woodlark board
Sam Akoitai, Papua New Guinea’s Minister for Mining from 2002 to 2007, has joined the board of Woodlark Mining Ltd, the PNG-based subsidiary of Kula Gold.
‘Mr Akoitai’s appointment brings a wealth of experience to the Kula Gold group,’ said a Kula Gold announcement this week. ‘His depth of knowledge will contribute greatly to the Woodlark Island Gold Project as it moves through the final permitting stages to construction and operations.’
