People moves: InterOil, Deloitte and NBPOL

People 02Board changes at InterOil, as a new VP appointed

InterOil has named two Papua New Guinean corporate executives will join its board and management. Former Bank of PNG Governor Sir Wilson Kamit has been nominated to join the board while former Chevron oil executive Isikeli Taureka will join InterOil as Executive Vice-President of Corporate Development and Government Relations. Executive Vice President Christian Vinson, who has led InterOil’s corporate development and PNG government relations efforts since the Company’s inception, will retire in June.

New partners at Deloitte

Deloitte PNG has announced that John Wau and James Walker will become partners from 1 July this year. Lutz Heim, managing partner of DeLoitte PNG said Wau was ‘part of our first graduate intake some years ago’. Walker is a highly experienced corporate finance specialist who has been a partner of Deloitte in Europe and Southeast Asia.

NBPOL retirement

The independent non-executive director of New Britain Palm Oil, Michael Anthony St Clair-George, has retired from the board. A chartered accountant, he has over 30 years’ experience in the plantation and agribusiness industries in Malaysia, Indonesia and Malaysia.
