Papua New Guinean to head up Forum secretariat, major board changes for Indochine Mining, and new senior executives at Marengo Mining.
The Pacific Islands Forum has appointed Papua New Guinean Dame Meg Taylor as its new Secretary-General. Taylor takes up the three-year post in October, replacing Samoan Tuiloma Neroni Slade. For the past 15 years, she has been Compliance Advisor Ombudsman in the World Bank Group.

Indochine Mining has appointed Dermott McVeigh as an interim Director and Chairman of the Company, following the resignation last week of Chairman Hugh Thomas, CEO Stephen Promnitz and Non-Executive Director Robert Thomson.

Marengo Mining has appointed John Mears as Chief Operating Officer and Alex Dann as Chief Financial Officer, following a restructure. It has also appointed David Danziger as a Director of the Company and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, after the resignation of Elizabeth Martin.
