People moves: InterOil, Cabinet appointments, PNG Microfinance

A new Chairman at InterOil, a new Transport Minister and Community Development Minister, and a new board chairman for PNG Microfinance

People 02InterOil has appointed former BG Group Chief Executive Chris Finlayson as its next Chairman, replacing Gaylen Byker, who said in June he planned to retire after 17 years on the board. Finlayson, 58, has more than 37 years experience in the oil and gas industry, in Russia, Nigeria, Brunei and the UK North Sea. He spent 33-years at Shell, before joining BG in 2010.

Hagen MP William Duma, who was sacked as petroleum minister, has returned to cabinet as the new Minister for Transport. The outgoing Transport Minister, Malakai Tabar, will be the new Minister for Higher Education, replacing Delilah Gore who succeeds Loujaya Kouza as the Minister for Community Development. Kouza is stepping down to take up the chairmanship of the new Lae City Commission.

PNG Microfinance Ltd has appointed Sir Wilson Kamit as board Chairman and Adam Mooney as a board Director.
