Hausples property survey finds a positive outlook towards property but prices are still considered unaffordable

Hausples.com.pg has released its Real Estate Survey 2018, which shows that the biggest challenge for the market is supply side factors such as land titles, infrastructure and private sector investment. But it says these issues ‘are slowly being addressed’ and that there is ‘unequivocal market demand for housing at various price points.

Papua New Guinea businesses should expect income streams from October, 2017, as momentum builds towards the APEC summit in November, next year. The Director-General of the PNG APEC Authority, Sir Charles Lepani, told the Business Advantage Investment Summit in Sydney, towns outside Port Moresby will also benefit.

Ten-year project to repair and maintain Papua New Guinea’s critical Highlands Highway to start by year’s end, says Wereh

Work on the ‘most critical’ 90-kilometre section of the Highlands Highway will begin later this year, under an ambitious 10-year repair and maintenance program, funded by the Asian Development Bank. Works Secretary David Wereh tells Business Advantage PNG, he is already looking to use the funding model to ‘fix’ 16 High Priority roads in other parts of the country.
