Sales Manager


Nestlé has a position available for an experienced Sales Manager.

Operating in Papua New Guinea for over 30 years, Nestle PNG Limited is seeking a qualified and experienced Sales Manager to join Sales team based in Port Moresby.

Reporting to the Sales & NAC Manager (Pom/NCD), the successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting and delivering all sales activities to reach the area sales targets and PNG as whole with accordance to budgeted operating expenditure plus managing the area sales and merchandising staff.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation and development of Customers on monthly & yearly business plans by sales figures & product categories.
  • Efficient management and control of trade spend and operating expense accordingly.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationship in order to maximize leverage in negotiations and ordering by Nestle.
  • Implement and control of promotional plans per marketing calendar to ensure maximum mileage is gained on product categories.
  • Plan, organise, maintain, manage and develop sampling and sales merchandising staff.

Job requirements

  • To deliver regional sales targets that deliver increased profitability
  • Responsible for regional staff and sales, trade spend plus other expense budgets.
  • Achieve maximum distribution for all new products.

Required qualification

  • 5 + years in sales & sales management.
  • Retail sales experience in an FMCG would be an advantage.
  • Experience in managing customers at all levels
