Registrations for the Investment Summit open today at www.pngadvantageconference.com.

Now in its fourth year, the Summit brings together investors and business people from around the world to focus on business and investment opportunities in PNG.

The two-day event, which will be opened by PNG’s Prime Minister, the Hon. Peter O’Neill MP, will take place on 9 and 10 September 2014 at the Gateway Hotel, Port Moresby.

Focus on infrastructure

The program will feature high calibre speakers, including international guests and local business leaders. Last year’s event attracted around 300 delegates.

‘Each year, we review the program to make sure it remains fresh and inspiring for our delegates,’ said David Conn, CEO of co-host, the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

‘This event is designed to bring business leaders from all industries and countries together to discuss how we can build PNG’s economy.’

Story continues after advertisment...

‘This year, Day One of the Summit will focus on investment opportunities across PNG’s economy, while Day Two will focus exclusively on infrastructure and transport. There’s no question that the task of building the nation’s roads, ports, telecommunications, airports, electricity and water networks will present many significant business opportunities.’

Growing interest in PNG

‘As the Prime Minister told last year’s delegates, there is a growing interest internationally in PNG as place to do business,’ noted Andrew Wilkins, Publishing Director of Business Advantage International, the publisher of this website.

‘This event is designed to bring business leaders from all industries and countries together to discuss how we can build PNG’s economy.’

The preliminary program for the Summit is now on line on the Summit website, www.pngadvantageconference.com, which is also now accepting delegate registrations.

Guest speakers will be progressively announced over coming weeks.
