The Australia-Papua New Guinea Network at the Lowy Institute is pleased to announce that this year’s Australia-Papua New Guinea Emerging Leaders Dialogue will be held on 5 and 6 November in Wewak, East Sepik Province.
This is the first time the Dialogue will be held in regional PNG. It will be a fantastic opportunity to highlight the important role that rural and regional development will play in PNG’s future—as it does in Australia.
Nominations are open for this year’s event.
If you’re aware of an outstanding candidate who meets the selection requirements please suggest they nominate through the online form here. You can let me know about potential candidates—I’ll be happy to contact them to explain more about the opportunity to build links between a new generation of leaders in our two countries.
Nominations close on Sunday 1 September. We’ll look forward to sharing more detail soon about our plans for the Dialogue and the participants selected to take part.
