MR RAFIQ SOHRAB Country Head for the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
Mr Rafiq is a British National and a Senior Economist in the Asia and Pacific Department at the International Monetary Fund. He has extensive experience in Fund operations having previously covered various frontier, emerging and advanced countries in the Asia and Pacific region. Mr. Rafia has also worked on several IMF-supported program countries during his IMF career. Before joining the IMF, he worked at the European Central Bank and the Government of Malaysia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Econometrics and has published numerous peer-review journal articles in the areas of macro-financial economics.
